Hi, I’m Dr. Kris Shea.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist and former Navy psychologist, offering evidence-based, person-centered care grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. My professional experience has given me a deep appreciation for how life experiences, environments, and diverse identities shape who we are and what we carry. I am committed to creating an affirming, inclusive space where all aspects of your identity are respected and welcomed.
I bring extensive clinical and research experience to my practice. My work with individuals from diverse backgrounds has shaped my understanding of how identity, culture, and systems influence mental health. I have worked with individuals managing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, identity exploration, and major life transitions.
My background has also informed my interest in working with individuals navigating systemic and structural challenges and how these intersect with personal experiences of stress, trauma, and life transitions.
I have particular experience supporting queer and gender diverse individuals, as well as those navigating multiple marginalized and intersecting identities, but my practice is open and supportive for anyone seeking care.
I work collaboratively with clients to tailor treatment to their needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches while remaining flexible and attuned to your unique lived experience. Together, we explore your goals, navigate challenges, and develop tools to foster resilience, growth, and a sense of authenticity in your life.
